美國第三場總統候選人辯論，相較於前兩場，開場文明了許多，至少兩位候選人都把重點回到政策討論，不過那只維持了半小時，半小時之後，難看的場面又開始出現，辯論結束前，共和黨候選人川普更丟出震撼彈，拒絕保證他會接受投票結果。
川普端出許多歪理替自己辯護，說攤開選舉人名冊，大家會發現許多投票登記並不合法，他還說，希拉蕊根本不應該得到被選舉資格，因為她用私人信箱處理公務，這是非常嚴重的犯罪。
希拉蕊則舉川普過往的行為模式，說每次事情發展不如他意的時候，他就怪東怪西，不只選舉，幾年前，他的電視競賽節目誰是接班人沒拿到艾美獎，他也說主辦單位作票。川普回說，誰是接班人本來就應該拿獎，台下觀眾有人忍不住笑出來，希拉蕊說，有人或許覺得好笑，不過如果川普當選總統，大家可能就笑不出來了。
