台化彰化廠燃煤鍋爐展延案，遭彰化縣府駁回面臨關廠，兩千多名員工日前集結在縣府抗議後，卻獲得縣長以「台化沒理由留在彰化」來回應，引起群情激憤，一早抗議再起號召千人圍堵縣府，要求縣府撤銷駁回、核發許可證，保障工作權。在沒有獲得縣府積極回應下，爆發多起衝突。十多人掛彩，一人昏迷送醫。彰化縣長魏明谷出面表示，會確表勞工權益，但是台化必須符合環保標準。
